Open @MyAlbumsBot, tap Start, then Open photos. There is no separate app to install.
Create your key
Your device creates the key on your first visit. Save the 52-character recovery code somewhere separate from your phone.
Upload and free up space
Choose photos from your gallery and wait for the upload to finish: a large progress bar shows how far along it is, and the screen stays on until it is done. Open the originals in My Albums and check them before deleting local copies.
Keep a separate backup of irreplaceable photos. My Albums preserves originals, but it should be part of your backup plan, not the whole plan.

My Albums provides end-to-end encrypted photo storage with AES-256-GCM. The client runs in the browser inside Telegram. Photos, videos, captions, people tags, face prints, capture dates and places are encrypted on your device before upload.
Where your key lives
The key is created on your device and stored in your Telegram account. It is never sent to the My Albums server. A copy of the server storage alone cannot unlock your photos.
What the server knows
Your Telegram ID and username; file count and sizes; upload dates; whether each file is a photo or video; your plan and Stars payments. This links files to your account and tracks storage and your subscription.
What stays private
Photo contents, captions, tagged names, capture dates and places. Search runs on your phone: the server does not receive the text of your queries.
What you control
Protect your phone and Telegram account. Encryption cannot protect you from someone using an unlocked device, phishing or malicious software on your device.
Lose both your key and recovery code, and your photos cannot be recovered. We cannot reset your key or decrypt the files for you.

Albums for every event
A wedding, a trip or a first day at school. Create a collection and choose its cover photo.
The people in your photos
Tag friends and family, give each person a profile photo from their own pictures, then find their photos. After a week, the app starts suggesting who is in new photos: faces are recognised on your phone, and you confirm every tag.
Search on your phone
“Asel”, “wedding 2025”, “August”, “Lisbon”: search tags, events, dates and places. Type dates the way they are written in your country. Your queries stay with you.
A secret album
A separate password protects its contents. The album list only shows a locked card.
Your recovery code
52 characters to recover your key. On a new phone, sign in to the same Telegram account and use the code if needed.
Six languages
English, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Russian and Kazakh. The app follows your Telegram language; everyone else gets English.
Date and place, straight from the file
Your phone reads when and where each photo or video was taken from the file itself. The place is the nearest city from a built-in list, with no online lookup. Both are encrypted along with the rest of the description; you can edit them and search by place.
Fast, direct upload
Files go straight from your phone to encrypted storage. A large progress bar shows the percentage done, the screen stays on until the upload finishes, and Telegram asks before closing the app mid-upload. Videos up to 300 MB each.

The first 12 months are free for every new user. After that you pay inside Telegram with Telegram Stars: you buy Stars in Telegram, the subscription renews every 30 days, and you can cancel it in Telegram settings. The dollar amount is approximate and depends on the price of Stars in your country. If you do not renew, your photos stay and are never deleted: you can still view and download them; only new uploads are paused.
Before your first upload
A few good questions.
How is it different from iCloud or Google Photos?
My Albums runs inside Telegram and encrypts files on your device before upload. Search and “who is in this photo” suggestions run on your phone too. iCloud protection depends in part on the Advanced Data Protection setting; compare other providers against their current terms. Shared albums are not available yet.
What happens when I change my phone?
Sign in to the same Telegram account and open My Albums. Your files remain linked to that account. If the key is unavailable, use your saved 52-character recovery code.
What if I lose my Telegram account?
First try to recover it through Telegram. A My Albums recovery code restores the key; it does not restore your Telegram account or automatically move files to another account. Contact @Azike for help. We cannot recreate a lost key.
Can I upload videos and HEIC photos?
Yes, on any plan (20, 100 or 500 GB) and without compression: photos (HEIC, JPEG) up to 60 MB and videos up to 300 MB per file.
Where is the server located?
Encrypted files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (European region). Your phone uploads them there directly, already encrypted, and gets them straight back when you open them, fast from any country. Location does not replace encryption: neither we nor Cloudflare hold the key.
Can I save my photos back to my phone?
Yes. Open a photo, tap Original and save the file to your device. You need your key to decrypt it. Check uploads and open the originals before deleting local copies.
How do I delete my photos and account?
Delete individual files in the app. To delete everything, open the Albums tab and tap “Delete all my data” (with confirmation), or contact @Azike from the same Telegram account. Deleting the bot conversation alone is not a request to delete cloud storage.
How do I pay after the free year, and how do I cancel?
Send /plan to the bot and choose a plan. You pay with Telegram Stars and the subscription renews every 30 days. Cancel any time in Telegram settings under Stars. The bot never asks for card details. If you stop paying, your photos stay and are never deleted: you can view and download them; only new uploads are paused.
What if I lose my recovery code?
While your key is still available, keep access to your account and save copies of important originals. If both the key and recovery code are lost, no one, including support, can decrypt the photos.
Does the recovery code unlock a secret album?
No. A secret album uses a separate password. Its card shows a lock while the contents stay hidden. Your main recovery code does not replace that password; a forgotten secret-album password cannot be recovered.
Does the server recognise faces?
No. After a week of use the app suggests who is in new photos, but faces are recognised on your phone. The face print is encrypted together with the photo, so the server never sees it. The app only suggests; you confirm every tag.
